These terms, in plain English.

By using Yabacademy you agree that we are a small, deliberate academy — not a faceless platform. The cohort is an agreement between you, the instructor, and the other learners. We take that seriously and ask you to take it seriously too.

What you get

Enrolment in a cohort gives you cohort-paced modules, live office hours, the cohort Slack workspace, and a completion certificate that names the instructor and the project you shipped. It does not give you a right to a specific outcome — whether you land the job, pass the exam, or build the thing is up to you.

What we expect

Treat your cohort with respect. Do the work. Ask real questions. Do not resell course materials. Do not harass instructors or other learners. Breaches of any of these end your enrolment and, depending on severity, forfeit refunds.

Refunds

Full refund, no questions, within 30 days of the cohort start date. After that, we pro-rate to the end of the current module. Email us from the contact page to start a refund.

Your data

See our privacy notice for how we handle it. Short version: we collect what we need to run your cohort, we do not sell it, and you can ask us to delete it.

We update these

When we do, we update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If the change is material we will email registered learners.
