Yabacademy is an independent online academy for Africa and her diaspora. Small cohorts, practitioners as instructors, office hours in English and French. We teach the things we wish had been taught to us.
Practitioners teach
Every instructor on this roster ships in production. No TAs, no generic video factories. If they stop practising, they stop teaching.
Cohorts, not libraries
You learn alongside a small cohort on a schedule, not alone at 3am scrubbing a progress bar. The cohort is half the education.
Bilingual by default
Office hours in English AND French. Our learners do not have to translate their questions before asking them.

What you can expect
- Cohort-paced modules with real assignments, not multiple-choice quizzes.
- Live office hours weekly. Recorded when your time zone can't make it.
- A certificate of completion that names the cohort, the instructor, and what you actually built.
- A cohort Slack that stays on after the course ends.
