How we handle your data

Privacy

Last updated: April 16, 2026

The plain version.

We collect the data we need to run a cohort β€” your name, email, assignment submissions, office-hours attendance. We do not sell it. We do not pass it to advertisers. We will hand it to you or delete it if you ask.

What we collect

  • Account data. Name, email, password hash, time zone, bilingual preference.
  • Cohort data. Assignment submissions, office-hours RSVPs, messages in the cohort Slack, certificate record.
  • Billing data. Handled by our payment processor β€” we store only the last four digits of your card and the transaction reference.
  • Analytics. Page visits, referrers, device class. No cross-site tracking, no third-party ad pixels.

Where it lives

On servers we control, in EU and US regions depending on where you are registered. We encrypt at rest and in transit.

Who sees it

Your instructor and the cohort admins see cohort data. Payment data is visible only to our finance team. Analytics is aggregated so individual visits are not attributed.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time to: export your data, correct something wrong, or delete your account. Email us from the contact page; we acknowledge within two business days and complete within 30.

Cookies

We use first-party cookies for session handling and language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
